An associate with Van Wey & Johnson, L.L.P., Chad Hardgrave focuses his practice on construction, real estate and employment related cases. Chad also handles significant personal injury cases resulting from commercial vehicle collisions and general negligence as well as contingency commercial litigation. Before joining Van Wey & Johnson, L.L.P., Chad was an associate at John H. Carney & Associates practicing commercial, insurance, and real estate litigation.

Chad is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court BoardJudges Committee, Intrascholastic Director for the Board of Advocates, and Master Level member of the Board of Advocates.  Chad was also a member of the Lonestar Mock Trial Team, ATLA Mock Trial Team, and a quarterfinalist in the SMU Board Of Advocates' Moot Court Competition.  Chad argued six trials as lead counsel in the Dallas County courts while a student at SMU Dedman School of Law participating in a trial clinic.

Chad primarily represents individuals whose life circumstances have placed them in harm's way. Chad combines a passion for justice with compassion for his clients, many of whom are undergoing life altering events.  Chad regularly represents individuals against their employer, insurance company, and third parties responsible for their injuries.  Chad also maintains a significant number of cases representing individuals against entities such as insurance companies and car dealerships for fraud and deceptive trade practices.

Chad participates in a number of professional organizations, including the American Bar Association; the State Bar of Texas; Dallas Bar Association; and the Texas, and Dallas Trial Lawyers Associations. Chad is also a member of the Dallas Young Lawyers Association and a Patrick E. Higgenbotham Inn of Court Associate.
