DARVON/DARVOCET RECALL - On January 30, 2009 an advisory committee to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recommended a ban on the popular pain medication, Darvon that has been used to treat pain for more than 50 years. According to government health and safety experts, Darvon has been linked to addiction and other serious, life-threatening side effects. Read More
FDA ISSUES RECALL OF HEPARIN - Heparin is a widely used blood thinner that has been available in the U.S. since the 1930's. It is used for many health conditions but most commonly used to prevent blood clots in patients undergoing kidney dialysis and heart surgery... Since the end of December, there have been recalls and about 350 reports of adverse reactions and 4 deaths associated with Baxter's heparin product. Read More
